A Woman is Unstoppable, When She Realizes She Deserves Better
Grace Recovery ATX has designed a unique program that identifies progression through a system of Chapters. The Chapters build upon each other and are identified as Hope, Courage, Perseverance and Resilience. Progression is awarded by consideration of membership duration and individual growth. The Chapters have been created to signify principles essential to achieve holistic healing of the mind, body and spirit
Hope Chapter - “What if I fail? Oh Darling, but what if you fly?”
Courage Chapter - “Troubles are a blessing. They force you to change, to believe.”
Perseverance Chapter - “Remember, when you forgive, you heal. And when you let go, you grow.”
Resilience Chapter - “A certain darkness is needed to see the stars.”
“What if I fail? Oh Darling, but what if you fly?”
Every member is assigned a personal Recovery Manager to walk beside them every step of their journey at Grace, and beyond.
Every woman entering into Grace Recovery ATX will be greeted by their Personal Recovery Manager. If not done so by that point, a tour will be given and member will have time to become settled into their new living space. When ready, but within 72 hours upon arrival, member and Recovery Manager will go through an in depth New Member Welcome Packet . Member will review house policies and procedures and discuss in detail Hope, Courage, Perseverance and Resilience Chapters and what it means and takes to progress to the next Chapter.
New member orientation will include an outline, which includes goals driven by the member herself, for the first 30 days of being a Grace girl! 12-step immersion, time-management, self-care and family are the primary focus during the Chapter of Hope.
At the end of 30 days members will sit with their Recovery Manager and identify an Action Pan to transform their life, which will be revisited every 30 days.
Grace Recovery ATX is a place where the healing and rebuilding continues after the residential treatment environment.
The self-awareness, self-reflection and self-efficacy knowledge that is introduced during the Hope Chapter will teach members to exercise choice to start trusting themselves again.
“We become trapped in ‘doing mode’ to avoid the experience of being”
Courage entails the will to move forward in spite of anxiety-producing situations. While on the Chapter of Courage, members will be given the tools needed to stay present while navigating their new sober life.
Members will receive consistent coaching on self-efficacy, self-care and time management throughout the program. As member begins to add in life skills, deeper big book work and service/work/education commitments/needs, they will be empowered by the deep sense of community and allies they will find at Grace Recovery ATX.
Choosing to choose to be a proactive player in your own life while staying present and grounded will be the focus while on the Chapter of Courage.
Everyone has the capacity to practice self-awareness, freedom and responsibility within one’s own world.
“Remember, when you forgive, you heal. And when you let go, you grow.”
Assuming responsibility is a basic condition for change. To develop a new identity takes grit and strength.
Respecting one’s purpose, and the willingness to risk a leap of faith to live authentically while designing one’s pathway of choice is the focus while on the Chapter of Perseverance.
Grace has paired with two amazing companies, I Choose Bold and Connected Heart. Grace women are given the opportunity to grow personally, spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally and professionally, all while keeping recovery from substance abuse at the forefront.

“A certain darkness is needed to see the stars".”
To be human, is a constant project. After 6 months at Grace members will be given the opportunity to practice spiritual principles in everyday life with continued accountability that supports recovery.
Grace members will be given the tools to master moment-to-moment life skills needed on their sober journey. Finding meaningful purpose in past hardships over identifying those hardships as defining oneself in old patterns.
The pain cannot be taken away, but love can compensate for the pain. One’s existence is never fixed once and for all. As humans, we are in a constant state of transition, emerging, evolving, and becoming in response to tensions, contradictions, and conflicts we face. Grace members will be given the skills to make sense of their purpose in life, while, of course, keeping their recovery at the forefront.
Through self-awareness, freedom, responsibility and love Grace members are given the choice to take action over inaction.
Upon completion of Grace’s membership, the Grace team will assist in planning the transition to the next Chapter of an independent, substance-free life. Women completing Grace’s program will be encouraged to be active alumni of Grace by joining Grace’s outreach efforts to help those who still suffer today.
Rules of the House are to be observed by all members and their guests. The Recovery Coach ensures clear open channels between all involved and follows through when issues arise. Most importantly, Grace’s Recovery Coaches deliver trusted guidance when the member is unsure of their path. Addiction is a family disease. When a family is being affected by drug or alcohol abuse, don’t give up hope. It is statistically proven that when family comes together, the outcome for positive change dramatically increases.
Grace Recovery ATX is committed to creating a recovery process that is educational and graceful for all involved. Family will receive weekly check-in phone calls from member’s personal Recovery Manager. The Recovery Manager will take the time to educate the family on issues like “enabling” and how to react to situations that may arise. The family will also be filled in on progress throughout the program.
Becca and Leah are sisters who have grown a passion for helping women recover from the grips of addiction. Their love is strong and always has been. It hasn't always been easy and at times, didn't even feel strong. To love an addict, some say, is to know what it feels like to run out of tears. Becca has been sober from heroin addiction since October 31, 2015. Becca completed treatment in Chicago and moved to Austin for sober living. Becca had her life to rebuild, her soul to piece back together and her spirituality to discover. Becca credits the high structure and accountability provided by living in a community of like-minded women, a key component to her lasting sobriety.
By the Grace of God, and with a firm understanding of the deadliness of the disease of addiction, Becca became willing to work a program of recovery. To this day she continues to guide women through the steps and mentor women in recovery. Leah has observed her sister’s courage and grace and it has been brought to her knees in amazement.
The amazing sober community of Austin pulls Becca closer when she may feel she's drifting, reminds her of her purpose when she’s feeling listless and reconfirms there is a Power that never stops fighting by her side when she’s feeling defeated.
Becca and Leah want to give back to the very community that gave Leah her sister back and Becca her life back. Without the compassion and unyielding support of Austin’s sober community, Becca and Leah would not have the opportunity to help women change their lives, just as Becca has.
With a combined 15+ years of experience in the addiction world Becca and Leah are committed to treat each woman with respect, compassion and acceptance. They commit to never stop learning, growing and leading by example.
Only by the Grace of God Becca and Leah are able to support women on their journey to lifelong sobriety, serenity and success.
